Genmaicha

Genmaicha is a traditional Japanese style of green tea. Typically it's comprised of three elements; Sencha leaf, matcha powder and cooked rice or popcorn.

The idea of rice or popcorn in a tea catches some off guard. It's a crucial element of genmaicha because so easily does matcha over power the sencha. With the proper ratio of these three elements, you'll be left with a highly aromatic, full bodied green tea which will compliment anything from sushi to cocktails - trust us, we've been trying ;)
